The John Marshall Law School -- Chicago's Practice-Ready Law School -- From the Desk of Associate Dean Anthony S. Niedwiecki

Dear Colleagues,

As you know, distance education is an emerging opportunity in legal education, albeit an expensive one to develop. What you may not know is that John Marshall has been offering online JD courses to visiting students from institutions like yours since 2013, and our courses consistently receive high marks from students across the country. That's why we're offering your law school a strategic partnership with John Marshall. As a strategic partner, you can offer your students access to quality online JD courses from an ABA-accredited institution without committing to the costs of developing your own courses, while continuing to receive a share of the revenue.

Please contact me to discuss this partnership opportunity in more detail.

How Does a Strategic Partnership with John Marshall Work?

We recognize the need for a unique approach with each partner school in order to serve the diverse needs of your students. To that end, we offer several revenue-sharing approaches as part of our strategic partnership agreement.

If your law school agrees to list our courses in your academic catalog:

Your school will register your students for our courses, and your registrar will send a roster of students to John Marshall for registration. Upon completion of the courses, we will forward final grades to your institution.

If your law school agrees to market our online courses with your registration materials, but John Marshall processes the application, registration, grading, etc.

Your students will receive a streamlined admission application, which they will complete and return to our Admission Office. (Note: this application will require approval signatures from the students’ appropriate administrator.)

Once received, John Marshall will process the applications and register your students for the requested courses. Upon completion of the courses, we will forward final grades to your institution.

If your law school does not have an agreement with John Marshall, then your students will be treated as visiting students.

Your students will complete and submit a full visiting student application to our Admission Office.

Once admitted, your students will be prompted to contact John Marshall’s Academic Services to register for the requested courses. Upon completion of the courses, your students will be responsible for requesting transcripts to be sent to your institution for credit approval.
